I often see people make this diet mistake when the weight has to come off – like yesterday. Deprivation is not the answer ladies. We’ve heard for years that it all boils down to the calorie. So long as I keep my daily feast to less than X calories I’ll lose weight right?
Not so, our bodies are way too complex to chalk it all up to simple arithmetic. There are so many factors in our body at play: digestion, time of day, absorption, body composition, cellular and organ health, activity, and metabolism.
With so many processes competing for energy, we need to shift our focus and understand weight loss comes when we live a balanced healthy lifestyle. A healthy body needs a lifestyle that nourishes our mind, organs, digestive system, skin, nails, muscular skeleton, nervous system etc.
Your health is your 1st priority. Here are 5 simple tips to keep you on track, and keep your body balanced.
1. Love your body.
Your body responds to your sub-conscious. Continually repeat praises to yourself. I am who I say I am, and I am one smart, loving, healthy woman.
2. Stretch for 5 minutes first thing in the morning.
When you start your day off placing your health first, a day of healthy choices can easily follow suit.
3. Just breathe
Keep your stress levels low. When we have Cortisol, the stress chemical, pumping through our blood stream it is physically impossible to burn body fat.
4. Drink a gallon of water a day
Hydration is key. Our body requires water to expel toxins and waste. If we deprive our body of water, we suffer the consequences via back logged systems, breakouts, excess fat storage, and low energy.
5. Fiber is your friend
Did you know eating your daily fruit and veggie needs will reduce belly bloating? It’s simple to shrink your waistline with our colorful plant friends. Start by adding 2 servings of fruits or vegetables to every meal.
